CONSTRUCTION Cold molded Douglas fir: Bottom — tongue and groove planking laid fore and aft covered with double-diagonal marine ply planking, finished thickness 1 1/2″ / Sides — laminated marine ply, 7/8″ thick / Decks — laminated marine ply over sawn beams / Covering system — epoxy impregnated Xynole-polyester fabric painted with epoxy primers and linear polyurethane finish coats / Spars — hollow laminated free-standing Douglas fir masts; solid Douglas fir booms with leathered oak jaws, finished bright / Bulwarks — stack laminated Douglas fir / Interior as desired, usually exotic hardwoods finished bright, trimming painted plywood.
OPTIONS A diesel inboard may be installed under the bridge deck. An inboard counterbalanced rudder may be employed with the inboard configuration.
