The Motorsailer 45 has a round-bilged semi-displacement hull that can be built strip planked, laminated bilge or lapstrake. This is a seaworthy design capable of world cruising, with a partial keel and a centerboard for ultimate diversity. There is also a 42-footer, and sloop rig option.

CONSTRUCTION    Cold molded wood/epoxy/fabric:  Bottom—double diagonal marine ply planks (½” x 12”). Topsides—3/4” marine ply. Bilges—four laminations of ¼” marine ply in 12” to 16” segments. Decks ½” marine ply over sawn beams. Coachroof—Foam core/ply sandwich. Covering system—epoxy impregnated Xynole-polyester fabric finished with linear polyurethane paint systems. Spars—Hollow “bird’s mouth” construction. Interior—painted ply trimmed with varnished hardwoods.
