TYPE Sharpie Lifeboat based on Commodore Ralph Munroe’s Egret. This vessel is intended for coastal and island-hopping cruises, and represents the most sea-worthy sharpie type. This version has 5’ 10″ of headroom—unusual for a sharpie of this size. The interior arrangement sleeps four.
RIG Gaff-rigged, bald-headed schooner. The Chinese Junk rig can be drawn for this hull as custom design work.
CONSTRUCTION Cold-molded plywood/epoxy covered with epoxy-impregnated Xynole- polyester cloth. The hull can also be built in aluminum or steel. Deck and house for all construction methods to be cold-molded plywood/epoxy/ fabric with foam-core option. Spars to be Douglas fir.
